We recommend using ‘Earol’ olive oil drops which can be bought in a pharmacy for 2-3 days before your appointment to soften the wax. Try to refrain from using ear drop products that contain ‘hydrogen peroxide’ as we have found over time that this tends to make earwax removal more difficult. There is nothing else you need to do!
-
Yes! We offer home visits across Wiltshire, Hampshire, Berkshire and parts of Dorset.
-
As of September 2020 many GP practices stopped offering ear wax removal as a core service. Check with your own GP practice to see if they still offer it.
-
Symptoms of earwax build up include (but are not limited to): hearing loss, itching, discomfort in the ear, tinnitus, feeling of fullness… please book a consultation with us to see if you need earwax removed.
-
Most earwax removal treatments are complete within 30 minutes, occasionally, the clinician may not be able to remove sufficient earwax due to it being too hard. If this happens, you will kindly be asked to continue with Earol for a short course to soften the wax. The clinician will then return to remove the rest of the wax.
-
As with any medical procedure it comes with some risks, as a tube is being inserted into the ear canal, there is a risk of infection and very rarely it could cause eardrum perforation. Our clinicians understand the importance of your ear health and are highly trained to use sterile equipment and correct technique to prevent any damage or infection to the ear.
Most people do not have side effects and enjoy being able to hear clearly and feel well again. Occasionally, people may experience mild dizziness, ringing in their ears.
-
No, it should not be a painful experience but it is important to note it may be noisy.
-
It is not recommended to try to remove your own earwax (or get a friend to do it for you) as ears are very delicate and an understanding of the structure is needed. Using cotton buds or hair pins to remove the wax is not advised as it usually pushes the wax in deeper and worsens the problem.
-
No, earwax is produced to protect the ear and is very important. To prevent earwax blocking the ear canal, do not use cotton buds or put anything in the ear to try to remove wax as it often pushes it in further. Also putting other objects into the ear canal such as ‘in-ear’ headphones.
-
Yes, but this is at the discretion of the clinician as ear infections may cause narrowing of the ear canal, making treatment more difficult. There may also be some discomfort.
-
Yes, Please contact your GP to discuss if you have concerns.
IV Vitamin Therapy
-
We allow 30 minutes for IV Vitamin Therapy appointments. This allows enough time for preparation of the infusion and also allows enough time to safely run the drip through your vein.
-
If you are unsure of what infusion to choose, we would recommend the ‘Myers Cocktail’. This particular infusion is world renowned and contains a great mix of vitamins and nutrients to help you feel rejuvenated.
-
When you schedule an appointment, you will be sent a digital consent form to fill out. We then pass this to our doctor who confirms if you are suitable for treatment. The day before your appointment we advise you drink plenty of fluids and stay hydrated, as this increases the likelihood of your veins being more visible for treatment.
-
If you have a particular infusion that you want that is not on our website, please get in touch with us as we may be able to source it for you. Please email us at :

Skin Lesion Removal (Cryotherapy)
-
Skin lesion removal using cryotherapy is a very quick process. Treatment usually take 5-15 seconds per skin lesion, so the more skin lesions you have, the longer your appointment will be. We allow 10 minutes for this type of appointment.
-
Some people report a slight stinging sensation to the area being treated, but many people state it is relatively pain free. Treatments in sensitive areas such as the neck or face are more likely to cause discomfort.
-
We advise patients who require mole removal to first speak to their GP to confirm the mole is not cancerous and that it is suitable for cryotherapy. Once this is done we would be happy to remove the mole for you using cryotherapy.
-
We are able to treat multiple skin lesions at the one appointment. It is at the discretion of the clinician on how many they can treat at once, as the healing process takes time and we may need to allow for a portion of skin lesions to heal first before attempting other areas. This is decided on a case by case basis.
-
We find that warts and verrucas often need follow up apppointments 3-4 weeks later for an effective treatment. Some warts may need up to 4 appointments to be fully removed due to the hardy nature of them.
-
You will be given aftercare advise following your appointment. You should expect your skin lesion to scab over the next few days, and in the coming weeks eventually fall off which will successful remove the unwanted lesion.
Vitamin B12 Injections
-
We allow 10 minutes for appointments to allow for preparation of the ampoule and injection site. The injection itself only lasts a few seconds and then you are free to go!
-
Vitamin B12 injections are commonly used to address deficiencies or conditions where oral supplementation is not sufficient. Here are some potential benefits associated with vitamin B12 injections.
Correcting B12 deficiency: Vitamin B12 injections are highly effective in treating individuals with a deficiency of this essential vitamin. B12 deficiency can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, neurological problems, and anemia. Injections bypass the digestive system and deliver the vitamin directly into the bloodstream, ensuring rapid absorption and replenishing B12 levels efficiently.
Increased energy levels: Vitamin B12 plays a vital role in the production of red blood cells and the conversion of food into energy. By optimizing B12 levels, injections can help combat fatigue, improve energy levels, and enhance overall vitality.
Improved cognitive function: Adequate levels of vitamin B12 are crucial for healthy brain function. Injections can support mental clarity, memory, concentration, and overall cognitive performance. They are often prescribed for individuals with cognitive impairments associated with B12 deficiency, such as memory loss or dementia.
Enhanced mood and mental well-being: Vitamin B12 is involved in the synthesis of neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, which play a significant role in regulating mood. Injections may help improve mood, reduce symptoms of depression, and promote overall mental well-being.
Support for nerve health: Vitamin B12 is essential for the maintenance and repair of nerve cells. Injections can aid in the prevention and treatment of peripheral neuropathy, a condition characterized by nerve damage that causes tingling, numbness, and pain in the extremities.
Cardiovascular health: Adequate B12 levels contribute to healthy cardiovascular function by regulating homocysteine levels—a high homocysteine level is associated with an increased risk of heart disease. B12 injections can help maintain optimal homocysteine levels and support heart health.
Improved metabolism: Vitamin B12 injections may boost metabolism, aiding in weight management and potentially supporting weight loss efforts. While injections alone are not a solution for weight loss, they can provide some additional support in conjunction with a balanced diet and exercise.
-
We advise an initial loading dose of 1 injection every 2 days for the first 2 weeks, followed by monthly/bimonthly top up injections. This helps ensure adequate vitamin b12 levels in the body and will maximise the benefits from this treatment.

Blood Tests
-
You will your results via email within 48 hours for most of our blood tests.

-
Our laboratory does not require you to fast before blood tests, however for certain blood tests such as a ‘Hba1c’ (Test for diabetes) you may get more accurate results if you fast. If you have been recommended to fast by a healthcare professional then we would suggest you follow this advise. If you wish to fast for your blood test, do not eat anything for 8-12 hours before your blood test. You are allowed drink water in this time.

Microneedling treatments use different depths of needles depending on the what or where on the body is being treated. There are parts of treatments which may be uncomfortable but this really depends on the person. Many patients report feeling vibrations and a warmth to the surface of there skin during treatment

-
Everybody responds differently to microneedling. It is likely you will have erythema (redness) and some blood spotting after your appointment. Your skin may be sensitive and there may be mild swelling of the treated area. Your skin might feel dry and tight in the coming days, which is your bodies natural healing process happening.
-
Occassionally microneedling can draw blood but this depends on several factors such as the patients skin type, area being treated and depth of needle being used. If there is a bleeding it will be minor.
-
The common area to get treated with microneedling is the face & neck. However most parts of the body can be treated such as the chest, abdomen, back, buttocks, legs, hands feet etc!

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Treatments
-
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. It's a cosmetic procedure used for various skin treatments, including improving skin texture and tone, reducing the appearance of skin discolorations, and addressing certain dermatological conditions. IPL uses a broad spectrum of light wavelengths to target specific skin issues.
During an IPL treatment, a handheld device emits short bursts of high-intensity light onto the skin. This light energy is absorbed by specific pigments in the skin, such as melanin (which gives skin its color) or hemoglobin (found in blood vessels). The absorbed light energy heats up and damages the targeted cells, prompting the body's natural healing processes to gradually improve the skin's appearance
-
IPL is suitable for a range of conditions such as :
-Acne removal
-Skin rejuventation
-Fine lines and wrinkles
-Hyperpigmentation removal/ age spots/ melasma
-Thread veins/vascular lesions

An average appointment duration is around 30 minutes. This time frame enables the clinician to conduct a skin consultation, prepare your skin for the procedure, and offer you aftercare guidance. If you are receiving treatment for multiple areas, the appointment duration might extend accordingly.
-
This depends on several factors, such as what treatment is required and the age of the patient. Usually a minimum of 3 treatments is required every 4-6 weeks apart.

After your appointment, it's likely that you'll notice some redness in the treated area.
