You will your results via email within 48 hours for most cases. Bank holidays and other seasonal holidays may delay results.

You will receive a full report from a UK dermatologist about the mole and advise on what to do next. If the mole is considered suspicious they may request you book a GP appointment for further investigation of the lesion such as a biopsy.

No, these results are strictly confidential and they do not automatically go to your own GP. If you want to share them with your own GP then you may do so.

Please avoid sun exposure or using any harsh scrubs or exfoliants on the area in the week leading up to the appointment. Do not pick the lesion as this may affect results.

Our clinician will first complete a consent form with you alongside a medical history of the lesion. We will then take several images of the lesion, with and without a dermatascope.

(a dermatascope is a special camera lens that allows for detailed imaging of lesions.)

The images will then be sent to a consultant dermatologist to be reviewed, usually within 48 hours. You will receive your results to your email address.
